Summary & Thoughts:
Set in a distant world, the Homeworld Remastered Collection tells a tale of a civilization looking for their origins. As you travel across space, you encounter dangerous foe. Fear not though! For you have laser guns!
Seriously though, Homeworld is an older game that just got re-released in February of this year. It has had some serious graphical updates, but basically plays the same as it did. It is classified as a RTS(Real Time Strategy), and boasts some of the wildest camera controls you have ever seen. As you command your mothership, you gather resources from asteroids, and build massive ship armies. You then send your ships into battle, and strategical try to outwit your opponent. The basic RTS strategies apply, except that you can move up and down. What does that mean? It means that instead of a flat map, you can move left, right, up and down. It is the strangest RTS I have ever played. With that said though, I didn’t care very much for the unique camera controls.
The Homeworld story arc is good, and the music is fine. The graphics are updated, but still not cutting edge. If you enjoyed this game the first time around, then you will enjoy it again.
