WandaVision – DisneyPlus Review

WandaVision was a huge success!

WandaVision was the first big TV show to be released in 2021, and also the first Marvel series to be released on Disney Plus. The first episode took audience by surprise as it seemed to be an old fashioned comedy shot in black and white, bearing many resemblances to the 1950’s TV show “I Love Lucy. As the series progressed, we witnessed the visuals of the show evolve through the 60’s, 70’s and so on until we reached present day.

Not everything is black and white in WandaVision.

The Disney Plus TV show WandaVision explores the topics of grief, family and community. The show mixes comedy, suspense, and mystery into a fantastic blend of a TV show. I don’t want to spoil anything serious about WandaVision, but I will say that the show takes place after the events of Avengers: End Game.

WandaVision continued to improve and impress throughout.

Each episode of WandaVision seemed better than the previous. The story unraveled into an epic finale that left audiences wanting more. Marvel fans got to see the return of Vision, as well as Wanda and Vision’s children, whom all play big parts in the comics. There were a lot of throwbacks and “Easter Eggs” for both MCU and comic fans.

I definitely recommend giving WandaVision a watch. It was creative, entertaining and just all around great. If you have not watched the Avenger’s movies from Disney, then I recommend watching those first. The entire first season of WandaVision is available to watch on DisneyPlus.
