The new Obi-wan Kenobi TV series is a masterpiece!

This new Star Wars show is the best thing to come out since Disney+ launched. Obi-wan Kenobi is a must watch for any Star Wars fan. If you are not overly familiar with Star Wars, then I recommend watching Episode III: Revenge of the Sith before settling in to watch Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+.

Story Review of Obi-wan Kenobi

The story writing and directing was spot on. The 6 episode series is set 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, and gives us a glimpse at what has happened since.

Luke and Leia are being raised separately by their adopted parents. Darth Vader and his team of inquisitors are hunting down the remaining Jedi all across the galaxy. Obi-wan Kenobi is hiding on the planet Tatooine, watching over young Luke Skywalker.

When the inquisitors kidnap young princess Leia, Obi-wan is forced out of hiding. He goes on a mission to rescue the princess, which brings him toe-to-toe with his once apprentice Anakin Skywalker, who is now the evil Darth Vader.

Overall thoughts on Star Wars Obi-wan Kenobi TV Show

Overall, I cannot wait to watch it again! I have already watched the first few episodes twice. The Obi-wan Kenobi tv show has instantly become one of my favorites. It does a better job at showing Obi-wan and Anakin’s relationship than any of the movies. It is also fun to see Luke and Leia as kids, and learn about where they grew up.

One of the best scenes of the show was when Obi-wan Kenobi and Darth Vader fought in episode 6. Obi-wan returns to full strength, and Vader gets part of his helmet sliced off in an epic battle. Anakin’s words at the end seem to be forgiving his once master, and putting the blame on himself for turning to the dark side. Obi-wan leaves Anakin aka. Darth Vader alive once more, as he returns into hiding on Tatooine.

I personally think that all of the acting was amazing. I wouldn’t change a thing about the show, and I look forward to Season 2 potentially being produced released.
