Summary & Thoughts:
I did not catch Aloha in theaters, and I am glad that I did not. Bradley Cooper plays a military contractor who is hired to come back to Hawaii, where he once lived. Upon arriving, he meets an old love interest, some guy friends, and then a new love interest. By about the 45 minute mark, nothing more has happened. It isn’t until the movie is half over, that hints of a plot are revealed. He is convincing locals to allow a private space program to launch a satellite into space. Â I would say more, but there really isn’t any. That is the whole movie, minus the straight forward predictable ending.
It was not the casts fault that the movie was such a flunk. The acting was pretty good, and I actually like the actors in many other movies. Aloha had the makings of a good story, but it was just executed poorly. The movie was slow, boring, and dry. I would not recommend this film to anyone.
