Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears Release

Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears, Once upon a dream.

I actually was able to attend the release of the Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears on April 1st, 2019. I was red as a lobster from a weekend in the sun but I managed to deal with the pain and found my way into the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom. Okay before I get into any details, I have to mention that there was no line, and there was more than  an abundance of these ears on the rack. This was nothing like the release of the original Rose Gold Minnie Mouse ears. It seemed like WDW (Walt Disney World) was more than prepared for the crowds.

Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears overstock!

My first reaction to finding them wasn’t too exciting. To be honest they looked almost the same as the Rose Gold Minnie Mouse ears. The Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse ears didn’t seem as original as they were advertised. However,  I liked the big plushie rose gold sequin bow, and the extra sparkle factor without sequins. The glittery material they used on the Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears sparkle almost magically in the sunlight- like Pixie Dust. But with pros, come cons. The material used on the ears alone is upholstered in an awkward shape. The fabric bunches around the rims of the Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears and leaves little dents here and there. And I also recognized that the headband is thinner in width and isn’t as tight around the head in comparison to the Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears. This caused an imbalance and the ears became a little too top heavy as they slid forward on my head when I walked. The Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears are no where ready for the big rides such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom  or even Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood studios. They will fly off, so make sure you put them away for safekeeping.

Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears are $27.99 and sold in every Walt Disney World park!

Its been a week since the release of the Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears, and just yesterday I visited Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival. A lot more people were wearing them than on release day, but I haven’t seen a social media hype for them on Instagram or on Facebook. Has this Walt Disney World fad ended? Are they taking this Rose Gold trend too far by just repeating their successes with a new bow?

March 31st, 2019; Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Collection retires

I have visited the stores Mouse Gear in Epcot and Magic Kingdom’s Emporium, and it looks like all of the original Rose Gold Minnie Mouse ears were taken out of stock. But eyewitness accounts of many locals have stated they are all in the sales bins located in the Disney’s Character Warehouse at the Orlando International Premium Outlets for $12.99 each! So head out there as soon as you can to grab a piece of Walt Disney World history.

I did happen to come across quite a few Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Loungefly backpacks, fanny packs, wallets, and cell phone cases in the Mouse Gear store in Epcot and Magic Kingdom’s Emporium. A cast member did however tell me that there were limited Rose Gold Spirit Jerseys available but in only certain sizes. So there is still merchandise to purchase before they retire!

Will Briar Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears truly be the replacement of Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears? Tell me what you think below. Should we riot along the purple wall with picket signs demanding for the return of Rose Gold?
