Carmike Cinemas opened a new location in West Melbourne, in August of 2014. Since then, I have seen a dozen movies at this theater. I enjoy most movies I go to see, but I can say that even if the movie isn’t good, the experience always is. From the quick ticket lines, to the clean bathrooms, this theater is impressive.
The first time I went, I was given a free popcorn upgrade. The second time I went, the manager came over to say “Hello” to my  2 year old son, and then offered free drinks for him. Every time since, I have had pleasant experiences. I have always found the workers to be polite, and the managers friendly.
You can expect standard ticket prices, and average priced snacks. The seating is comfortable, and the screens look new. The sound is great quality, and I have noticed that the movies always seem to be at a good volume. I am the kind of person who doesn’t like a movie too loud. So I find it nice that every movie I have gone to see, has been set to a good listening volume. Did I mention that they have a IMAX theater? It is awesome, and huge, and awesomely huge.
I have enjoyed every film experience I’ve had at Carmike Cinemas, and I look forward to many more. I would recommend this theater to anyone, and cannot wait to see Star Wars in IMAX this December.
