Charlie and the Angels are back!
I just watched Charlie’s Angels on Amazon Prime for the first time. Despite wanting to catch it in theaters, I never got around to it.
Charlie’s Angels surprised me in a good way. It was much better than expected, and Kristen Stewart gave a killer performance (pun intended). This latest re-imagining is more of a sequel than anything else. We get to see flashbacks of past Bosley’s and Angels.
Charlie’s Angels is worth watching and possibly even buying.
The movie was funny, entertaining and fast paced. It held my attention and felt well made all around. It seems to have received a lot of negative feedback on the internet, but I am not sure why. It definitely wasn’t film of the year, but it is definitely worth watching on a home movie night with some popcorn.
Can the plot even be spoiled?
The story or plot of Charlie’s Angels is pretty much in-line with the rest of the prior films. A group of female secret agents kick bad guy butt and save the world. This latest version was more respectful and politically correct than the prior films, and I feel that it only improved the series as a whole. It was a refreshing and fun watch.
