Fast X (2023) – Movie Review

Our Fast and Furious 10 Movie Review

Dom Toretto and his family are back for another Fast and Furious adventure. To be honest, I never get tired of these movies, so they can keep making them.

This time around (and the last few times) they are targeted by the vengeful son of drug kingpin Hernan Reyes. Hernan is played by none other than Jason Mamoa. Jason’s performance was very unique and entertaining. He brought an interesting personality to the main villain. He was funny and light-hearted, but also a little disturbing.

We came for the fast cars and stayed for the furious explosians

The cars were cool as usual. They had a nice mix of classic muscle and modern day exotic. Fast X felt like a Fast and Furious movie from start to finish. Although, the finish could have been a bit better…. more on that later in this article.

Paul Walker shows up as Brian O’Conner in Fast X

The movie even managed to bring back Brian O’Conner for the big 10th. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker promised each other they would make 10 Fast and Furious movies. So it was cool that they made sure to include him in this latest Fast and Furious movie. Paul makes an appearance at the start via flashbacks or replays to introduce Jason Mamoa’s new character Hernan Reyes. They actually make it look like Hernan (Jason) was there the whole time, and is now just a returning villain.

Overall thoughts and moview review of Fast X

I enjoyed the movie from start to finish. But they didn’t give us a proper ending! The movie cuts off right at the start of a huge action sequence. Credits roll and we are left to wait for Fast and Furious 11.

I’ve personally come to enjoy the Fast and Furious franchise. I have rewatched all of the movies in the past year, and they are corny in a good way. The over-the-top action sequences have become a staple of the series. You don’t come to a Fast and Furious movie expecting realism or even proper physics. You just enjoy the ride! (pun intended)
