Summary & Thoughts:
Hearthstone is a strategy based card game for PC, Mac, and Iphones. You can download it for free, and play on your computer, or you can take it on the go and play it anywhere. It is a 1v1 game where both players are dealt cards, and then try to destroy each other. Both players receive 30 health points, and a variety of minion, weapon, and spell cards. Then both people attempt to outwit and outsmart each other.
The game is actually a lot more fun than I expected. I definitely see why it is a huge success, as it is easy to play, and yet still very fun. The only downside, is that the game has a bit of a grind to it. You start out with a beginner deck of cards, and then have to play matches to win more cards. After that you can build your own 30 card decks to battle people. The matchmaker tries to give you fair match ups, but about 50% of the time I found myself completely out-gunned. Luckily there is a surrender option, so that you don’t have to finish unfair match ups.
I would recommend this game to anyone. It is free, so there’s no risk involved, and it ended up being way more fun than I thought it would be.
