Summary & Thoughts:

In Blizzards new Moba, you can fight as your favorite Heroes and Villains from other blizzard games. You will see familiar faces from Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo, The Lost Vikings, and more! And the best part about this game is that it is free to play.

You start off by selecting a champion (or hero) to play. Then you are launched into a battle arena to duke it out with other players for victory! There are several maps and objectives to play. Every week offers new free champions to play, and as you play you earn points to permanently unlock more.

Heroes of the Storm has the basic Moba set up. Two groups of players duel on a map with several lanes leading to an enemy base. AI controlled mobs march towards the enemy base repeatedly throughout the match, and you fight alongside them to take objectives. When you destroy the enemy base, you achieve victory.

What sets Blizzards Moba apart though? Well for starters, there is no focus on “farming” minions. You don’t really gain much for killing them. Your team levels up and gains XP as a whole. The game seems more set on capturing objectives than on mechanics. HOTS just launched this month with 35 champions to choose from, and more on the way. The level up process seems easy, and the rewards for matches are generous. This Moba seems to be faster paced than many I have played, and focuses a lot on blasting other players to bits. It is a fine game to sink a few hours into. I recommend HOTS to any Blizzard or Moba fans out there.
