Summary & Thoughts:
“Witches can be right, Giants can be good. You decide what’s right you decide what’s good.”
The movie starts off with a band of characters all travelling into the woods for their own reasons. Red is going to her grandmothers, Cinderella to the festival, a boy to sell a cow, and a prince to save a princess. We then are introduced to a baker, and his wife who cannot bear children. The baker and his wife are sent into the woods by a witch. They are instructed by her to obtain items from all of the other characters. If they can get all of the items in 3 days, then the witch will remove the curse preventing them from conceiving children.
This film has an odd sense of humor, and a loose set of morals. I do not personally agree with the message is presents, and so this casts a shadow over my ability to enjoy it. I did however like the cast. The actors and actresses did an excellent job. The music was catchy, and the theme entertaining. The setting of the woods did get a little stale after 2 hours.
I won’t spoil the ending, because I never do, but I will say that it’s an odd one. I will not be watching this movie again, and do not recommend it to anyone.
