Welcome to the Jungle

This movie is a new take on the original Jumanji from 1995. It follows the story of 4 very different high school students who end up getting sucked into a video game called Jumanji. The whole film is back to back comedy. Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan all do an amazing job in bringing their unrealistically super powered video game selves to life.

A little Hart and a big Johnson.

There were 3 major plot lines in the film. I won’t go into much detail as to avoid spoilers, but one focused on the friendship between two high school boys named Spencer and Fridge, and the other focused on two high school girls named Martha and Bethany overcoming personal character flaws. The third plot line was the one featured in the movie trailers, which involved the four working together to escape the video game world of Jumanji.

Black to back humor that was Gillan it.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a solid movie. I found it to be very funny, appropriate for most ages, and worth the watch. I would recommend catching it in theaters or picking it up on home video when it arrives in stores.
