A whimsical romantic musical.

Set in the city of Los Angeles, this happy go lucky musical tells a tale of a whirlwind romance. An aspiring actress named Mia bumps into a struggling jazz pianist named Sebastion. The two deny their immediate attraction, but despite their best attempts continue to run into each other. Months after they first meet they finally begin their romantic relationship. As they work together to achieve their individual dreams they encounter the many obstacles that come along with success.

The music in this film is great. The dancing and singing are almost nonstop. The tunes are catchy, and the scenes are very comical. I enjoyed Emma Stones performance the most. I would say that she was the central character of the story. Her boyfriend Sebastion had many scenes of his own, but the story kept coming back to Mia. This movie had several stopping points. I kept feeling like it was going to end, and then it went on. Despite that, it really didn’t feel too long. I enjoyed almost every minute of this romantic musical.

Amazing performances all around!

La La Land has quickly become one of my favorite films. The acting, singing and all around performances given by the entire cast were outstanding. Not only do I own this movie, but I also own the soundtrack to it.

One of my favorite moments of La La Land was the tap dance number performed by both Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. It takes place toward the beginning of the film and it makes me smile every time I watch it.

A mix of romantic comedy and drama.

I was slightly taken back by the ending. It wasn’t what I had expected, and it made the movie more of a romantic drama than a romantic comedy. I also appreciated the life lesson that it taught. It showed that the choices we make can take us down very different life paths.

I can’t find anything bad to say about La La Land. It is always a fun watch and I highly recommend it!
