Summary & Thoughts:
Minions is a prequel to Despicable Me. Set thousands of years prior, the story follows a tribe of minions as they search for a new master. After many failed attempts the minions become depressed and lose hope. But three minions named Kevin, Bob, and Stuart, set out on a brave journey to save their tribe. They end up in Orlando Florida at Villain-Con. There they meet the ultimate villain, or so they think!
As the movie progresses, the jokes get a bit cruder, and the humor seems to aim more towards adults. The whole movie is really full of slap-stick humor, so if that’s not your thing, then don’t bother. But if you like that kind of humor, then I found the movie to be hilarious. I enjoyed the movie more than my wife and 2-year-old son, and would have a hard time recommending it to anyone with small children. I know I sound a bit two-sided on my review, but in truth, the movie deserves two sides. I am overall not totally sure the age group being aimed at, but it was a good film. I recommend parents to watch a few trailers, and make sure it’s right for their family before going to see.
