Black for more in an all new adventure!
If you have ever played a Pokemon game, then you know just what to expect. This game was released for the Nintendo DS, so it’s in 2D. The graphics are a bit dated and the story a bit stale, but none of that matters. It’s a Pokemon game and at the center of every pokemon game is an addictive RPG.
Set in the Unova region you start out in Aspertia city. You choose your name, the name of your rival, and then your adventure begins. Shortly after you begin Prof. Jupiter contacts you and you are able to choose your starting Pokemon. You receive your pokedex, have your first battle, and then start off on a quest to save the world.
The Unova region is unique. The map is large and tangled and you will find yourself back tracking a lot. I enjoyed my play through Black 2. I was playing it mostly to move my pokemon up from Diamond, so I rushed through it. The ending seemed to drag out longer than most Pokemon games, but that can be considered a plus.
I would recommend Black 2 to Pokemon fans who haven’t played a Gen V game. Perhaps go back and start with the original Pokemon Black, but either way it’s a solid choice of game.
