Pokemon Sun & Moon Demo Released

Welcome to the Alola region!

On Tuesday October 18th the all new Pokemon Sun & Moon Demo hit the Nintendo eshop for 3DS. It’s a free to play demo with roughly 20 minutes of initial content. It puts the player, named Sun, in the Alola region which was based heavily on Hawaii. Upon arriving at your new home in Alola you are given a Greninja from a mysterious person. You then make your way to City Hall where you begin making some new friends.

Some of the finer moments including riding a Touros around town while smashing huge boulders, and catching wild pokemon in the mini games. The only downside is that you have to release the pokemon you catch, so much of the fun will have to wait until release.

I greatly enjoyed my play through, and it seems that there are daily quests built in. I will continue to check back and make sure I don’t miss anything, but playing this only makes me want the full game more. The most surprising thing to me was the fact that there’s no 3D in the game. It makes me wonder if this game will eventually come to the Nintendo NX next year.

Either way I highly recommend giving this demo a play. I also recommend taking a look at the full game coming out next month. Pokemon Sun & Moon release on November 18th, 2016.
