Tales of the Jedi – Star Wars Cartoon Series
This new Star Wars cartoon was created in part by Dave Filoni, who also made the animated Clone Wars series. Tales of the Jedi is a 6-episode series, featuring 18-minute episodes exploring the young lives of Ashoka and Count Dooku. The episodes bounce back and forth between the 2 characters and explore some of the backstories that have never been told.

Exploring the Clone Wars Era
Ashoka and Count Dooku are two really cool characters, and it is awesome to have some more content made about them. The first episode shows Ashoka as a baby. She goes on a hunting trip with her mother, and they discover that she is force sensitive. That is the whole first episode, and it is the slowest of the six.
Episodes about Ashoka
Half of the episodes focus on Ashoka being trained and her relationships with Anakin and the Clone Troopers. We see how hard Anakin pushes her during training, and eventually get a glimpse at her life after Order 66. The final episode shows Ashoka defeating an inquisitor during the time period surrounding the TV show Obi-wan on Disney Plus.
Episodes about Count Dooku
The other half of the episodes show the fall of Count Dooku. They do a fantastic job of making a likeable villain. Count Dooku is shown as being compassionate, and wanting to make a difference in the galaxy. He gets very frustrated with the Jedi Council, which eventually sends him straight into the arms of Palpatine aka. Darth Sideous. The 4th episode actually shows Dooku killing a fellow Jedi to cover up his involvement with Sidious. It also gives us a glimpse at what was going on behind the scenes with Dooku and Qui-gon in The Phantom Menace.
Overall thoughts on Tales of the Jedi
Overall I really liked Tales of the Jedi season 1. I enjoy getting extra story bits and explanation for why things happened in the movies. Dave Filoni is also a talented story teller, and all of his Star Wars cartoons have been amazing. I look forward to future seasons of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.
