Chapter 1: Search for the Bulb
A short time ago in a galaxy not so far away, lived a world of Lamps. They had space ships, halogenator guns, and technology that far surpassed ours. However with all of this advanced technology came turmoil, and disagreement among them. It was only a matter of time until the galaxy would fall into war. I’m going to tell you a tale of one Lamp who changed the course of the galaxy he lived in forever. This is his story.
One day on the planet Lampoonia, a lamp named Lampy was hopping along to work. Suddenly without warning, his light bulb started flickering. “Oh no!” he exclaimed. “What am I to do? I need to see a lamp doctor immediately!” So he hopped faster than ever to the nearest lamp doctor office. When he arrived and spoke with the doctor, the news wasn’t good. He needed a new light bulb. Now normally this wasn’t a problem. Light bulbs were fairly easy to find, but Lampy needed a special bulb. This bulb could only be found on the third moon of Lampoonia.
Traveling to the third moon though was a problem, because it was owned by an evil group of lamps known as the Lampire. He knew that no one would take him there. He would have to fly himself there, and try to find the bulb he needed. So off Lampy went, he hopped into his little star ship, and hit the “start engine” button. Then he pushed forward on the throttle lever as his ship roared to life, and blasted up into the atmosphere.
Lampy got scared for a second when his light started flickering again. He was running out of time! He flicked the switch to accelerate his ship to lampspeed. His ship blasted through space slowing down just as he approached the third moon of Lampoonia. Lampy noticed a group of Lampire ships patrolling, and did his best to act natural. As soon as he got past them, he flew down to the moon and landed in a small crater.
Lampy hopped down his star ship ramp, and started heading toward Lampire City off in the distance. As he got closer to the city though, he realized that he didn’t look like the Lampire citizens that lived there. They all had black bulbs, and gave off an eerie purplish glow. They would surely recognize him as an outsider, and turn him over to the bulbinator troops. Thinking quickly, Lampy grabbed a cloak and wrapped it around himself to cover his bulbs glow. Hopefully this would work to disguise him until he could find the bulb he needed.
Indian people are still orthodox and shy about telling their sex related problems in a pretty economical way, need to get out of the problem. Lampy worked his way through the crowds toward Lamp-Mart. Lamp-Mart was where he knew he could buy a new bulb. Lamp-Mart was the place to buy anything, and they always had everything in stock at guaranteed low prices. Right as Lampy was approaching the door to Lamp-Mart, someone hopped into him knocking off his cloak. The black light lamps around him all gasped and shouted for bulbinator troopers to arrest Lampy. He panicked and ran into Lamp-Mart. “Where is the special bulb isle?!” Lampy yelled. Someone shouted back that it was isle 4 near the plug replacements. Lampy ran to that isle and grabbed his bulb off the shelf. His heart raced as he unscrewed his old bulb and put his new one in.
Suddenly halogenator lasers flew by his head and shattered the bulbs on the shelf next to him. He looked over his shoulder only to see that it was the bulbinator troopers! Lampy ran to the opposite end of the isle, and collided with two more troopers. He grabbed one of the trooper’s mini Halogenator guns and ran for the exit. The troopers hopped after Lampy shouting, and shooting all the way. Lampy returned shots with his mini halogenator gun. There was no way he could go back to his old ship, because the Lampire had most definitely seized it by now. Lampy dodged troopers and jumped over fences running for the spaceport. He needed to find a new ship, and get back to safe Lampoonia.
Lampy almost got hit by a laser as he ran up the ramp of a ship called the Lucky Desk. He started the engines and blasted off into the atmosphere. Lampy checked the Lucky Desk’s scanner and saw that he was being followed by about 20 Lampire star ships! Lampy looked around searching for the lampspeed button and hit it just as a stray halogenator blast struck his ship. Lampy’s ship shook and rattled and jumped to lampspeed. The Lampire ships wouldn’t dare follow him onto Lampoonia, because they were banned from the whole planet. He slowed down as he came through the atmosphere, and barely avoided a crash landing.
Lampy was safe back on Lampoonia, and he decided that he would fix the Lucky Desk up, to use it as his own personal ship from now on. His wild adventures were over, at least for today.
