Summary & Thoughts:
This may be the best of the Hunger Games films. With edge of your seat suspense, good plot twists, and a great ending, this film does not disappoint. Now, I am not a big hunger games fan, and I did not enjoy the last two movies, but I did like this one. This film had clear cut good guys, story progression, and a very killer ending.
It is also nice to see the story come to an end. It has been a long time coming, and it all wraps up with a happily every after. I am very glad that this trilogy did not involve zombies, as too many of them do. The movie was just over 2 hours long, but it didn’t feel like it. It is also too intense for young children, but I think that’s an obvious point by the 4th installment.
(Spoilers Ahead) I like Katniss as a character. She is good to the core, and always makes a stand for what she believes to be right. I also like that they don’t kill her off.
I have never cared much for these films, but this one changed my mind. I liked the resistance leader turning bad. I thought it was a smart twist, and I liked the point it made about governments. I was also surprised by Katniss having her own family, but I think that it was the prefect way to end it all. I didn’t think that I would like this film, but I really did. I would recommend that anyone who has seen the others give it a watch.
