Summary & Thoughts:

Blowing things up makes for a good time. Titanfall is definitely a “multiplayer party shoot em up” kind of game. Mix “Halo” with “Mech Warrior”, and throw in a dash of “The Matrix”. You will literally find yourself bouncing off walls as you compete to kill enemy players and titans. There are various multiplayer match types to play, such as: Attrition, Capture the Flag, Campaign, etc. Unless you choose to make a custom private match, every game mode will pair you with other live players. There is no solo campaign to this game.

Other than the normal 1st person shooter aspects, Titanfall has a few unique quirks to offer. All game modes spawn npc(non-player characters) enemies and allies to fight along side you. This really fleshes out the battle, and adds a sense of larger scale warfare. I enjoyed this, because it makes new players feel like a hero. It also helps you feel like you’re making a difference, while you learn the game.

As you slay various enemies, you gain points toward unlocking your very own titan! What is a Titan? It is a giant robot of death! That’s right folks, you get a titan; you get a titan; everybody gets a titan! These giant robots are really the core of the game. You can jump in one and cruise around blowing stuff up, or you can even have it auto-pilot behind you while you fight on the ground. Auto-pilot titans will help you fight enemies. This was a cool thing to put in game, because it really adds some diversity to individual play style.

Overall, I really enjoyed Titanfall. I found it fast paced, and easy to play. It has nice graphics, smooth game play, and is easy to start & stop whenever you have a spare 20 minutes to play. I would recommend Titanfall to any 1st person shooter fans out there.
