Walt Disney World announced just a week ago the grand re-opening of the new Otter Grotto! These adorable little swimmers have swam their way into the hearts of Disney goers of all ages for the first time since April of 2018 when the habitat was closed for refurbishment.
It took us a while to find the Otter Grotto, and we had to ask quite a few cast members to find the habitat but we finally made our destination. Located right across from Pizzafari are the stairs that lead down into the lower level of the otter viewing area.
This area is great for youngsters who can have a one on one experience with an otter paddling and thrashing through the water.
When you climb back up the stairs, you have two viewing areas to observe the otters in their habitat.
If you take a right, you will find this beautiful location for all of your viewing pleasures. And if you take a left instead, you will have this great view as well.
We weren’t as lucky as we wanted to be when we first visited the otters. They were all cuddled up together sleeping.
But I know in the future we will have to stop by and grab more photos of these adorable little creatures. I would have to say the re-furbished Otter Grotto was beautiful and a success! If you haven’t seen it just yet, make sure you head over when you get the chance!
