Lost In Space is a Sci-Fi Action Drama

Not to be confused with the original Lost In Space show from the 1960’s, this re-imagined tale is now a TV series available on Netflix. Lost in Space has two seasons already released, and a third set to come out on December 1st, 2021.

The show follows a the Robinson family as they set off on a space fairing adventure, only to crash land on a mysterious planet. Finding themselves stranded far from home, with danger around every corner, they must work together to survive.

Lost In Space is binge worthy!

Lost in Space is a must watch Netflix show that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Dare I say, it’s even rather suspenseful at times. The show makes for a fun watch, and potentially enjoyable for the whole family.

You should of course watch the trailers, and decide for yourself if your children are ready for it, but it’s surprisingly family friendly. There are a few darker moments that involve PTSD and other aspects of human psychology, but overall the show was pretty focused on the dangers of space.

Lost in Space Plot Spoilers Ahead:

I found myself pleasantly surprised at where they took the story. I wasn’t sure if the show would be one of those low budget; filmed in one location sort of things, but it turns out that the Robinson family continuously changes locations throughout Seasons 1 and 2.

Lost in Space has a lot more characters than you might expect. The story follows several families, and side characters as they all work together (and fight) to make it to their desired destination of Alpha Centauri. Season 2 of Lost in Space ends with a bit of a cliff-hanger.

Fun Facts about Lost in Space:

Alpha Centauri is actually a real place that some scientists believe may be habitable to humans.

The classic line “Danger, Will Robinson!” is well known among sci-fi fans, and it is one of the many things carried over from the original 1960’s version of Lost in Space.

Lost in Space will be returning for a 3rd season set to release December 1st, 2021.
