I took my 18 month son to see this film in theater, and he loved it. He sat through the whole thing with a bowl of popcorn in his lap. Big Hero 6 was a funny, animated, super hero kind of movie. Hiro is genius kid who graduated high school at age 13 . He is bored with school and takes up robot fighting as a “career”. Throughout the movie, Hiro meets and teams up with a large huggable robot named “Baymax”.
Without giving to much away, Big Hero 6 is a reference to the 6 person super hero team that develops throughout the movie. Baymax and Hiro are the main characters of the film, and together discover a purpose while crafting an unusual friendship. The only possibly scary part for children, was the mask wearing villain. They could have made him slightly less frightening for young kids, but overall I enjoyed taking my family to see BH6. I recommend taking the whole family to see BH6.
