Disney’s Encanto is FANTASTIC!
The movie Encanto has quickly become one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. The story follows a young Columbian girl and her family. Everyone in Mirabel’s family has magical powers except her. Their powers range from super strength to seeing the future, but when things start to go awry it’s Mirabel that must save the day.
Encanto is filled with fun and fantastical music. The songs will get stuck in your head. I don’t think there’s a bad song in the whole movie, but it’s not just the music because the story is also amazing. The story is fast paced and to the point. All of the characters are likeable, and there aren’t really any villains.
Being super without powers (spoiler warning)
One of my favorite characters is Luisa Madrigal. Her power is super strength, and her musical number is definitely one of the best. There is a scene where Mirabel comforts her older sister Luisa. It’s in this moment that we start to realize what the movie is really about. Mirabel is the glue that holds her family, and her house together.
Watch Encanto on Disney Plus
Encanto is streaming on Disney Plus. You can watch it from the comfort of your own home, and I highly recommend that you do. It’s fun for the whole family. I think that my household has watched Encanto at least half a dozen times just in the first week. It is an instant Disney classic. I can’t believe that there wasn’t more hype and buildup surrounding its release. Either way though, be sure not to miss this awesome movie!
