What’s the difference between the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite?
The main difference between the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite is that the full size Switch allows you to play on TV screen, via the included docking station, and/or in handheld mode. Whereas the Switch Lite only plays in handheld mode. This feature is the reason they call it a “switch”. Read my full review of the Nintendo Switch.
Both consoles play all of the games. An original Nintendo Switch usually cost $299.99 at most major retailers. The Nintendo Switch Lite is usually priced at $199.99. Availability of these consoles tends to affect the price, especially around the holidays.

The least expensive version of the Nintendo Switch Lite on Amazon is currently the Gray, followed up by the Turquoise. This past week Nintendo also released a special edition Pokemon Edition Nintendo Switch Lite.
Nintendo Switch is the best game console for young children!
Nintendo has more parental controls and child safety features built into their game consoles than any other brand. They are well known by the gaming community for sometimes being over-protective, like in the recent case of not having built in voice chat available on the Nintendo Switch.
