Fantastic Four (2015)

Summary & Thoughts:

You may have heard that this movie was bad. I completely disagree. Even though it wasn’tĀ fantastic, it was still pretty good. With this being a remake of the Fantastic FourĀ series from 2005, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

I found this film to be much more serious than the last few. It didn’t have comic relief, and it took its time. The movie didn’t feel long, it just felt like it had character development. This is a good thing though, because of a lot of super hero movies go all action, and no character development. Instead of a 40 minute fight scene at the end, it was a much shorter battle. Most of the movie showed how the four people met each other. It was an interesting done tale.

The acting was fine, not outstanding, but definitely not shabby. The story line was unique from the previous renditions of the Fantastic Four. The fact that the movie had four main characters is something to note. It didn’t feel like it was all over the place, but instead was very well put together.

I have no complaints about the film. I enjoyed The Fantastic Four, and would watch it again. I wouldn’t buy the movie, but I feel good recommending it as a rental.
